Canadian Invasion 2010

This September and October our friends from the North will be coming down for a month. Their plans are to stay in Buena Vista from September 19th through the 25th and wheel trails in that area. Then from there they will be staying in Ouray from the 26th through October 2nd. Then last but not least, they will be heading for Moab from October 3rd to October 15th. I know I won't be able to take that much time off, but I'm going to try to at least do all the weekends meeting up with them and as much additional time as I can in between. They're skipping their May trip to be able to do some of the high mountain trails later in the year. Hopefully there will be others that can meet up with them on their trip too.

Eh, what do you mean Canadian invasion, there's Steve and Nancy from New Mexico going to be there for some of it too.

Jeff thank you very much for posting this up to let (warn) people know of our trip. It's really been way too long since the last time we ran some trails together. I know you guys came to Moab for a short spell in 2009, but I really am looking forward to spending more time on the trails with you folks again.

There's a number of people from up here that you've met before, but there's also a few new people doing the trip.
I think with the help of many good friends we've made down there over the years, we've got a very good set of trails put together.

Kevin and I will be meeting shortly to hammer down days for the various trails so those that can join us for a day here and there will be able to pick the trail they're most interested in.

Sept. will not come soon enough. EHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I thought you canucks in the west held a very bad opinion of easterners? Are you sure you want to be hanging around with the ones that abandon you and then return back to the west?

Ok so here is my plan. I don't know if I will be able to pull it all off but it is a plan any way. Buena vista sept, 22nd thru 24th figuring thay will head to oury the 25th. Oury sept. 29th thru 1st or 2nd depending on when thay head to moab. Moab oct. 7th thru the like the 12th. Any thoughts from any one whould be gratly appreciated. MAN! I HOPE I CAN DEAL WITH THAT MUCH TIME WITH THEM PEOPLE EHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

That looks like an awesome schedule Eric. Glad to hear you'll be there for so many days.

Our plans are to leave Ouray on Sunday Oct 3rd.

Man this is one holiday I am sure looking foward to. Sure hard to tell how many invaders are coming down there but I think the numbers are pretty good. Sure hope you're site isn't too heavily monitored with all this invasion talk, we're liable to get the bend over at the border crossing.

Guess I'd better head to Calgary soon and start figuring out those trails we want to do. I now have approval for the entire month off (woohoo) - now just have to figure out how long the family will come for (4 weeks off school would make the boy a very happy young man - but it isn't going to happen LOL).

Well Jenn and Kevin and the kidlets dropped by for the weekend and I forced K to sit down and threatened he could not leave the dining room table till we had the trail list put together.

It's now done.
