Default TORC Series

I'll be heading to Bark River, MI next weekend for rounds 3 & 4 of this years TORC series with Brad Lovell. Rounds 1 & 2 were a good learning experience for all of us. Brad got some valuable seat time in the new #44 Pro Light, and we all learned a lot about what happens at these races. I'm really looking forward to this weekends races now that the whole team has a couple under our belts. It should be a good time.
Before anyone gives me too much grief, I don't get a whole lot of time for picture taking between working on the truck and spotting during the races. I'll get some if I can in between.

I got back yesterday from rounds 5 and 6 of the TORC series in Oshkosh, WI. It was another up and down weekend, but good overall. Friday night Brad was running great. He started in the back and had worked his way up to 4th and was right behind the top 3. Unfortunately he tangled with another truck, and his steering broke and took him out of the race. Saturday night started out with a bang. Immediately after the green flag came out right at the start/finish line jump, another truck got crossed up and landed in front of Brad, causing Brad to hit him and send the other guy rolling. Brad's truck seemed to only get minimal damage. It was just destined to be one of those nights though. The track was super slick and Brad slid out a few times as well as others did the same and managed to be right in front of Brad a couple times when it happend and they hit head on. One of the hits caused something to happen to the truck and there was a major lack of power for the rest of the race. He still managed to finish 8th even with all the problems. Overall, still a good weekend though.

Next races are August 14th and 15th back in Bark River, MI. Anyone interested can watch the races live at torcseries.com or usacracing.com . They have live coverage of all the races. There's a lot of work to be done to the truck in the next couple of weeks. It had a rough weekend for sure, but will be up and ready for the next one.

Jeff
